Documents and information we will ask you to provide
Don’t worry if you don’t have everything ready straight away. Our team will guide you through the process and explain exactly what information is needed.
To assess whether a Way Forward repayment plan may be suitable we need to understand your financial situation.
This means asking for information about your income, living expenses and debts. In many cases, much of this information can be confirmed through our secure client portal.
We will usually ask you to provide:
- recent payslips or proof of income
- details of any government benefits
- information about your regular living expenses
- statements or details about your debts
- identification documents to confirm your identity.
You can upload these documents quickly and efficiently through our online client portal.
In some cases, you may also choose to share financial information through open banking, which allows us to securely access certain banking data with your consent. Read more about how we use open banking.
If you choose not to use open banking, we will ask you to provide us with 90 days of bank statements for your transaction account.
Providing this information helps us ensure that any repayment plan is based on a realistic household budget and is manageable over time.
Our team will guide you through this process and explain exactly what information is needed at each step.
